SECRET DINNERS

As part of Toffie Food, 20 dinners were simultaneously hosted at 20 secret locations in Cape Town. Guests only found out on the day when they received their maps, where they were going and who their hosts were. Hosts included Sumien and Cara Brink, Kobus van der Merwe, Pete Goffe-Wood and Grey Lamp.

WINTER POP-UP RESTAURANT

In July 2012 we did a two-week pop-up restaurant at 12 Spin Street with Cara Brink. 8 nights of 20 people each were booked out in 3 days. The menu was based on a winter feast prepared with fresh produce from the Cape Town Market in Epping: lettuce, pea and mint soup with freshly baked focaccia; beetroot risotto; Swartland farm chicken pies with avocado salad; panacotta with baklava shards; burnt orange tarte tatin; coffee and hot chocolate with sweet treats.
